Oberlo for BigCommerce – Alternative Dropshipping Solution

This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my affiliate disclosure for more information.

Oberlo is a great dropshipping app for Shopify. However, maybe you prefer BigCommerce or want to use BigCommerce for dropshipping instead of Shopify.

Unfortunately, you cannot use Oberlo with BigCommerce since it’s exclusive to Shopify.

Yet, there is an Oberlo alternative solution!

In short, it’s called Spocket, an app to discover top dropshipping suppliers of US/EU products.

Does Oberlo Work With BigCommerce?

No, Oberlo does not work with BigCommerce.

Oberlo is a dropshipping app founded in 2015 for the Shopify platform and was acquired in 2017 by Shopify for $15M, according to Crunchbase.

Since Shopify is the parent organization behind Oberlo, the platform is exclusive to Shopify.

With the rise in popularity of dropshipping, other companies like Spocket have come out with solutions for alternatives to Shopify and Oberlo.

Not only that, some people prefer using other website builders or eCommerce platforms than Shopify, such as BigCommerce.

The BigCommerce Dropshipping App – Spocket

If you prefer to use the BigCommerce platform over Shopify, then Spocket is a great option.

Similar to Oberlo, Spocket allows you to import dropshipping products into your eCommerce store. The key difference between Oberlo and Spocket is that Spocket works with most platforms, while Oberlo only works with Shopify.

You also have the option to import AliExpress dropshipping products on Spocket with their free tool AliScraper.

Shopify and Oberlo vs BigCommerce and Spocket

When comparing the two platform options, it really comes down to personal preference.

Oberlo and Spocket both allow you to import dropshipping products into your eCommerce store, whether that’s on Shopify or BigCommerce.

Spocket works with both BigCommerce and Shopify, while Oberlo only works on Shopify.

Pricing Comparison

In terms of pricing, both Spocket and Oberlo have free plans to get started with dropshipping.

Yet, after their free plans, the pricing differs a bit. With Oberlo, their grad plan is $7.90 per month, and Spocket’s starter plan is $24 per month.

In general, Spocket is more expensive than Oberlo.

BigCommerce and Shopify both have free trial periods to get a feel for their platforms.

Their monthly plans are also quite similar in costs. The most basic eCommerce plan with Shopify is $29 per month, with BigCommerce at $29.95 per month.

BigCommerce and Shopify share very similar pricing even up to their plus and pro plans.

To Conclude

While Oberlo remains one of the most popular dropshipping solutions, there are alternative options out there for platforms like BigCommerce. Consider taking a look at this list of Oberlo alternatives for even more selection.
